Firstly, we would like to apologise for the disruption to the services you may have experienced over the last week.

On Tuesday –  April 4th, we had planned downtime on the entire site to allow time to migrate the servers from static, physical servers to Cloud servers. This should have, and will soon, provide increased stability and performance for all users across all platforms.

Since completing this many of you have experienced issues when attempting to connect to the site, such as receiving a 502 error page. Or having trouble completing specific actions within both our games (SM17 and Worlds).

Due to the dynamic nature of the Cloud services some of the constant processes and pathways have not been generating and running as they are expected to. As the services have scaled up to meet demand this has resulted in the connection and service issues you have experienced.

We have our team working to identify and resolve the cause of these problems and we will keep you updated as additional information becomes available.

All Gold and VIP members will have the days added to their accounts once the problem is resolved.

We thank you for your patience and understanding.

Sincerest apologies,

The Soccer Manager Team.

The European transfer window has recently closed. The only European heavyweight to splash the cash was PSG. The Parisians signed Julian Draxler and Gonçalo Guedes from Wolfsburg and Benfica respectively for a combined fee of £59M.

Chelsea and Man Utd didn’t make any new signings but sold off unwanted players for significant sums. Oscar headed to Shanghai SIPG for a staggering £52M and was followed by John Obi Mikel whose contract was expiring in the Summer. The Londoners also off loaded out of favour Branislav Ivanovic for an undisclosed sum to Zenit. Morgan Schneiderlin and Memphis Depay finally departed Old Trafford for Everton and Lyon respectively for a combined fee of £33.07M.

Marseille have new owners and were keen to make their mark in the transfer window. Dimitri Payet returned after an 18 month spell at West Ham for £24.91M. He was joined by vetran Patrice Evra from Juventus and up-and-coming midfielder Morgan Sanson from Montpellier.

Highly promising youngsters Alexander Isak, Onyinye Ndidi, Riechedly Bazoer, Mattia Caldara, Leon Bailey, David Neres, Dayot Upamecano and Roberto Gagliardini all made the next step in their career by moving to bigger clubs.

The Chinese Super League continued to make waves in the transfer window by flexing their financial muscle. Carlos Tevez, Odion Ighalo and Axel Wistel followed Oscar and John Obi Mikel to China.

The database on Soccer Manager is powered by Soccer Wiki, a community driven database. Now that the transfer window has closed all of the squads in the European leagues have been updated to include the most recent transfers. So why don’t you head over to Soccer Manager 2017 and start a new career?

New-Features-For-SM17

We have a fantastic community at Soccer Manager. It is this community that helps to drive the game forward with your ideas as many of them have been implemented. This has always been the case and it’ll continue to be going forward.

We will shortly be working on a new iteration of Soccer Manager – Soccer Manager 2017 (SM17) and this will be released later in the year.

What we’d like to know is what new features would you like to see in Soccer Manager 2017?

I’ve started a new thread on our forum where you can post your ideas and i’m more than happy to discuss them with you. It doesn’t matter if your idea is simple, been mentioned before or just pure wacky as they’ll all be discussed and taken into consideration. This is because we need to consider if it’s technically possible to include in the game and also if we’ve got the resources and time to implement the idea!
