What to expect in Soccer Manager 2020

Soccer Manager 2020 builds upon the success of Soccer Manager 2019 by enhancing the existing features and by adding some additional ones that will improve the user experience and overall quality of the game.

Soccer Manager 2020 will be the most realistic iteration to date, focusing once again on crucial elements of the game such as the matchday experience, extensive player statistics, the transfer system, competitions and facilities.

Following the successful transformation of the match engine in Soccer Manager 2019 from 2D to 3D, this is being improved once again to make matchday a more realistic experience. The 3D player animations are being enhanced and the player intelligence improved to increase effectiveness of player decisions. Advanced player statistics are also being introduced to give managers more data than previous iterations. All of this will result in a more immersive matchday experience and help managers to analyse team and individual player performances more effectively.

The transfer system is being improved to make it more authentic and reflect the real world. It will be more advanced to ensure a more accurate transfer system.

The domestic competitions in the world’s leading footballing nations are being improved. Domestic cups are being expanded to include more lower league teams. Relegation play offs are being added. Domestic Super Cups can now be played outside of the country. South America’s continental competitions are being expanded to include more countries. This will all give the game a more a more realistic feel and enhance the managers experience.

Squad numbers have been introduced and these can be changed at the start of each season to add another dimension to the game.

Club facilities are undergoing an exciting transformation, managers will be able to see their clubs’ infrastructure develop in 3D models and animations. This will better portray how your club is developing off the pitch. It will also add another element of strategy to the game as a manager balances improving their club both on and off the pitch.
