  i come from republic of ireland and we have got Italy which will be a hard match, georgia who caused scotland problems, cypris who we only took a point of in our 2 euro 2008 qualifiers and bulgaria who berbatov play 4 so i am worried about are group but if we can get a new good manager in i’m sure we can get through

  I am from Sweden and I heard that we are to face our neighbours Denmark again.
  Portugal is probably the toughest opponent in the group.
  On the radio I heard that Albania can be a tough opponent, while I
  believe that Hungary would be more difficult to win against.
  Most people seem to agree that Malta is the weakest team in the group.

  Here is my prediction of the group.

  i’m romanian i live in canada though.

  first of all you gotta be kidding me with italy’s group. classic italy like they dont have horseshoe’s you know where for every major competition…they have to compete with bulgaria and ireland lets be serious.

  romania is paired with france and serbia. i just don’t see romania coming first there…also going to be tough being the 2nd place team as it is in that group.

  there are many other highly disputable groups as well…i was just more miffed at italy’s group more than anything.

  im from croatia and i think our group is the toughest. if england bring a good manager they could be 2nd but ukraine is really good. i dont think theres a big question bout croatia as we have already shown whats class football.

  we have world class players but we cant play the big matches. its shockin how we can lose 2 croatia with gerrard lampard and crouch and beckham, even when our whole defecne was injured

  i love all the england/scotland talk on this website…england haven’t beaten romania in like 25 years…(2-1 petrescu right through seaman’s legs last time) if i remember correctly i was really young.

  the one guy “dutch guy” says netherlands will take the WC they won’t even win EURO theyll choke like they always do with their finesse superstars.

  also why are people saying that group with the czechs and poland could have any 2 teams advancing???? it’s clearly going to be czech republic and poland going through… these are established nations with outstanding development in their youth squads northern ireland might come 3rd but theres no question for 1-2 get real guys.

  fifa rankings dont mean anything those rankings are so messed. i remember last WC czech rep was ranked like 3rd in the world and they got jacked by like every team in their group except US.

  netherlands are by far the softest team in the euro theyll win their WC qualifyin group but they cant beat anyone at a major tournament.

  I reckon we will win group 9, and Holland second, although i dont know, holland are a challenge, But we can do anything at hampden, unless the officials are against us.

  And dutch kid, we lost 2-0 to Georgia, because half or team was missing through suspension/Injuries, and Eck had totally changed the formation, for a more attacking approach, which was a poor move.

  Hey victor a what you said about czechs in last world cup.. they were actually second… and they were that good because it was based on them being semi-finalists in euro before that and then having amazing qualifying record the points all add up. But in games against Ghana and Italy a player got a red card early.. Koller was injured for last two games.. and baros for first two then in last he was completely ineffective for he wasn’t recovered yet an he was taken early in the second… And even our third striker missed game against italy..
