Gold Championship 70 is aimed at new Gold Members who if they become a Gold Member get a choice of club in this Game World.

Not every Gold Championship will be created like this in future. We will create completely ‘open’ ones as well going forward.

We have had a lot of feedback from members in a survey we did and the biggest complaint was that they did not want to upgrade as they thought they had no chance of getting a ‘decent’ club in a Gold Championship as they all went very quickly to current Gold Members. The way we have been creating Gold Championships also backed this up, by the time someone went to the shop and bought Gold Membership the top 100 clubs had all gone!

Now we create a Gold Championship and let members buy Gold membership and reserve a club at the same time for either £11.99 or £14.99 depending on their current reputation.

We could have stopped all current members from entering this Game World for the first few days but decided that many current Gold Members would be upset at this. So we decided to charge a small fee £2.99 to have first choice of a club along with new Gold Members.

Current Gold members have had first choice in the past 69 Gold Championships, with many getting a top top club time after time. Gold Championship 70 will open to all on Monday and all clubs not reserved will be available to all.

Hopefully this will encourage more Gold Members and therefore benefit the game as a whole. The more Gold Members there are the more it will benefit all the other Gold Championships as they will become fuller and more active.

If all we wanted to do was make money we would not be charging £2.99 for first choice of a club. Over the past few years we have had people asking to reserve club for up to £50 and have heard of people selling Gold teams for huge amounts of money.
