Ideas & Suggested Improvements: U21 International Management
October 5th, 2009 by SM Dev (Ste)
International Management is now available in every Game World and since its introduction we have received numerous requests asking if we could introduce U21 International Management.
There are currently 80 national associations within each Game World (listed within International List), however, this number could increase by adding U21 teams for certain national associations. This would mean that only the top U21 national teams would be available to manage and it would also allow more managers within the Gold Championships to become international manager.
It would also mean that if you are the manager of Brazil, for example, you would not automatically become the manager of the Brazil U21 national team, and this position would be offered to another manager within the game world.
This inevitably would lead to some U21 national team managers wanting to call up a player(s) that the full national team manager has called up, and in these instances the full national team manager would have first option on the player(s) in question. A positive of this would mean more interaction between national and U21 national team managers as in some instances they might want to work together.
If we introduced U21 International Management, which U21 teams would you like to see be incorporated into the game?

Don’t like the idea how it’s laid out here.
I don’t see how the two managers of the NT squad and the U21 squad have to communicate about this.
If the player is good, he get’s called up to the NT, end of story.
The match engine for NT’s has been dreadful, and even the big number of new managers of NT’s won’t change that.
Example: Luis Anderson of Brazil.
Just not good enough for the first team of Brazil.
Get’s a rating change to 92.
Call up and bye bye U21.
I don’t see why the Brazil NT manager would let the U21 one let him have, he has no reason, nothing to gain.
Much better would be a setup bound tourney for players with a U21 youth squad tht’s big enough to compete.
Something like 20 youth players, in various positions are needed to compete in this.

Great idea, include all the big teams from europe, north and south america, africa and asia

good idea but you should be able to control both like Abdel said the best under 21 players will be called up and the under 21 manager will be stuck with lesser players

Great idea, however i think that perhaps U21 managers will get the lesser players as already commented before.
I also think that the weak international sides that arent taken up should be offered to the best free game world managers for one season to give them a taster since my mate had recently been offfered the Brazil job in his game world but couldnt accept because he wasnt a gold memeber so perhaps if it was only availible to free members for one season and they have to be offered the job then maybe thats the way the U21 should look at

would it not be a better idea to allow non gold members to manage the under 21 team

except for the obvious choices, wales would be interesting as would mexico.

Wales wouldn’t actually be good to manage at U21 level, as all their top youngsters will be in the first team, leaving the scraps for the U21s.
Whereas the likes of Spain, Brazil, England, Italy, etc will have plenty of top youngsters who aren’t good enough for the first team yet.
Anyway, I am all for this idea.

I disagree by saying Wales won’t be good to manage means they won’t be easy to manage. But its possible that U21s games can be on different days then Senior games. And as I said before if we wern’t talking about the obvious ones, I’ll doubt they will include Wales anyway as there isn’t many choices of quality.

I Think This Whould Be A Good Idea _ You May Think The Interaction Between U21 + National Team Managers Would Be A Problem But In Real Life Situation Managers Of The U21 + National Team Work Together Anyway The U21 Managers Job Is To Develope These Players And The Objectve Is To Get His Players Into The 1st National Squad.
If That Happens Then His Job Is Done .
Its Not Been Known Very Often For 2 Managers Of The Same National Team To Argue Over Young Players.
And This Can Also Be A Benifit To The U21 Squad Manager Aswell As If A 1st Team Player Of The National Squad Is Tired Or NMF He Could Allow The Under 21 Manager To Nurture Him Back To Fitness As In The Real Day The Under 21 Manager Can Play 2 Over 21 Year Olds In His Squad On Matchday.
If This Concept Is Worked Properly Then This Could Easyly Work Better For The Managers
In My Opinion This Is An Exelent Idea And Should Be Reserched For The Best Results

If we introduced U21 International Management, which U21 teams would you like to see be incorporated into the game?
And As For This Queston I Think All Teams Should Be Put In And In Sayin That There Should Be The Under 18s Aswell As This Is A Manager Game And The Point Of This Game Is That You Can Manage Any Team In The World

im not entirely sure by this idea.
it would need a lot of work and fine tuning to work well.
like abdel zizi said it would be pointless for a national team manager to give say:
alexander pato 19 years old 92, to the youth team when pato could probably start for the brazil national team. also it would be best if the national manager was manager of u21 team as then there are no disputes about players. etc..
16. Scotti | October 13th, 2009 at 4:04 am
I Dont Think Thats Right Haziq
In The Real World The NT And The U21 Are Managed By 2 Diffrent Managers And I Think That It Should Be Kept This Way When Or If Incorperated In To The SM
And If There Is Disputes About Young Players Then So Be It

internatinal manage in custum game worlds please
18. Musty | October 17th, 2009 at 6:02 pm
I don’t see what the big problem is, if the NT Manager wants an U-21 player in his/her squad so be it, full NT Managers get first pick in real life and that’s how it should be like. I think it should be done for every team, not just the best ones. And I strongly agree that Free Members should be given the chance to manager NT’s.
19. Ahmed | October 18th, 2009 at 6:02 pm
yes it would be way better if non-gold members can manage U-21 International Teams.
i would alos like to see:
Egypt
Russia
Spain
Germany
France
England
Brazil
Argentina
Ghana
Cameroon
Costa Rica

I think it is a great idea but it would be good if the national team manager chose the u21 manager and also let them know who they are interested in in the u21 squad and might call them up soon

A nice idea indeed i believe this would be great fun and which team would i manage? Any; i really wouldn’t mind so long as they’ve got enough youth players.
