Ideas & Suggested Improvements: New Features for Custom Game Worlds

A few weeks ago we posted an article about New Features for Custom Game Worlds, and we are now going to collate all of the feedback and then look at how the ideas and suggestions could be incorporated into the Custom Game Worlds.

Along with the current Advanced Rules within the Custom Game Worlds, the following ideas have been suggested:

Choose the starting balances;
Turn the Chairman On/Off;
Turn the Player Exchange On/Off;
Add unique image/logo to Game World;
Set how much prize money each division is awarded at the end of the season;
Choose Chairman strictness;
Stadium Building On/Off;
Display previous manager history of applicants;
Ability to name your Cups.

The above list contains some interesting ideas and suggestions from members of our community, and they would make the Custom Game Worlds even more unique.

I have two other ideas:-

1) Customisable transfer ban period, the default would be as it is now (20 turns?) but the game world creator could change it to anywhere between 1 and 50 turns.

2) Limit on foreign players. The game world creator would set a limit on the number of foreign players allowed in the squad. A foreign player could be defined in one of two ways; 1 - the player is a different nationality to the country where the club is from 2 - the game world creator selects a nationality for the championship and players of any other nationality are foreign. It would also be great if this feature allowed for a limit on players from the same continent e.g. if you were Arsenal you might be allowed 3 players from outside europe, 3 players from inside europe and the rest must be English.

Great idea, as the owners of custom game worlds should be able to choose the starting balance, player exahange, prize money, managers etc and it will be more Privilege to haveyour own set up.

- The owner of the leauge should also be able to choose how the format of his cup is run, ie knockout or league (like the champions league)

great ideas, but if you already have a game world and these features come in, would they apply to the older game wrolds?

I love these ideas, especially the ones relating to chairmen.

feeder clubs so can send players out on loan

youth leagues .

maxium team size say 35players + youth

all teams have to play 3 youth players
3 players from same nationilty of team have to be played

all these’s would make it more interesting

i like andrews idea about customizing the transfer ban period.
1 question , would this apply to current custom game worlds

If these rules are put in place, they should be put in place in game worlds that are already going and start at the end of the season in order for everyone get the best out of it

if all these changes happen though like, setting the starting balance and chairmen on/off… would these be introduced to the game worlds that are lready up and running or would we have to buy new game worlds????

I think we should have a new tournament like the champions league or uefa cup where we could play teams from differnent game worlds this would show ultimately who actually is the best team on soccermanger or alternately we could scale it down have the tournament between just a few game worlds. I think this would overall make soccermanager more interesting and a lot more competitive.

playing other teams from other game worlds would not work you could have ronaldo,messi and kaka on both teams and thats not really realistic so for that reason im out
