Ideas & Suggested Improvements: Classic International Setups

During the summer I wrote an article in relation to ‘Classic International Setups‘. We recently received a suggestion in relation to this, and the person who submitted this idea wanted to build on the last article which was posted:
“Instead of having a setup full of classic national teams why don’t we create classic tournaments? You could create ‘Classic International Setups‘ and make numerous setups based on past international tournaments. For example you could purchase from the SM Shop a ‘Classic International Setup - Euro ‘96′ or ‘Classic International Setup - World Cup 1986′.”
This is something which we could look into at a future date, and if there is demand then possibly introduce it in the near future.

hhhhmmmmm this does sound like a good idea but as many people would know lots of people would demanding differant years and this would take such a long time to find the players and give them ratings but once all the years, players and ratings are fineshed this would be a great idea

9% would want world cup 1986
1% would want something else.
It would end up boring.

no not evry1 would go for 1966 jus because england won it big woop it was over 40 years ago what have use done since!

So, 90% of all players are English and 100% of the English would pick ‘66?? I think it’s a ridiculous premise. Would anyone that wasn’t even born in ‘66 want to chose players from that time?? I kinda doubt it.

i tink juz the current international tournament would be enuff , but wiuld be better if it is also playable in custom

the highest goal to game ratio in any world cup
and some good players
that would be a good setup

Well to tell the truth we dont need any improvements exept the 3d game view,what i mean by that is that we can acctually watch your matchday live.However i dntt mean like top class graphics like fifa 09 all i mean is like normal dots that compares alot like football manager 08.i’ll also like you to make the match time different because we have to wait until 8pm for the match and our parents want’s us to go bed early,if i was SMFA ill make the match time like 1:00pm or 3:30pm and make them finish on 3:45pm or 1:45pm.

No one in their riight mind would pay for a temporary tournament when you can just buy a standard setup
