Gary Townsend took control of Notts County, a Division 5 team in Gold Championship 46, 16 matches into the season after the previous manager had resigned leaving them well placed with a good record of 11-4-1.
Following a great run of form in the Scottish Shield, St. Mirren, managed by James Wright, lifted the trophy after beatings Rangers on penalties.
The small Scottish side overcame a number of odds to raise the Scottish Shield above their heads.
